What Is Nirvana?

Nirvana is a grunge band formed in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. The lead singer and gutairist was Kurt Donald Cobain. The Bassist was Kris Novoselic, and after going through many drummers the main one became Dave Grohl, who is also the lead singer of the band "Foo Fighters"

Who is Kurt Cobain?

Kurt Cobain, is the lead singer and gutairist of Nirvana, and sadly passed away at 27 in 1994. Cause of death was a suicide attempt. He was married to another popular alternative singer, Courtney Love. They had one child together, Francis Bean Cobain. Kurt was born on Febuary 20 in 1967. Kurt Cobain says his life turning point was when his parents got divorced, which really changed his world view. He spent mot of his adult life with severe depression and a Heroin addiction. Kurt Cobain started guitar when he was 14 years old. He got a guitar as a gift from his uncle. Kurt Cobain was left handed, although his teachers forced him to use his right hand, making him eventually use his right hand. Kurt started a joke band, Fecal Matter, after dropping out of high school in 1985. Kurt Cobain was also most likely Bisexual, as he said he would have probably dated men and women if he didnt marry Courtney.

Nirvana's genres include grunge, soft rock, hard rock, noise rock, and alternative rock. Nirvanas most notable works are "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Come As You Are" and "Heart Shaped Box". There first album was Bleach , followed by Nevermind, which is there most famous, after that came Incesticide, In Utero, and MTV unplugged

Why Are They So Important To Me?

Nirvana has played a big role in my life because theyre music has really moved me. They are also just such amazing people, I'll probably never get over the fact I didnt get to go to a Nirvana concert. Ive liked them since I was very young, too.
